Great news re Fraggle!! *fusses*

We have a lovely day here - sunshine and frost free - so different to yesterday morning!! I have Liz with me today - she's the lady who started with us in March and I've not worked with her before but we are jogging along nicely....staff holidays next week for two staff so I won't have any help I don't think, making the most of this as it's been busy and would've been so much worse without two of us!

Out at the quiz tonight, Jen will be homewhen I get in tonight so I'm picking my sister up and then out. Hopefully John will get here tonight to fix a new curtain pole up and then I can FINALLY have a set of curtains in the living room!!! Fingers crossed it all works out *nervous* (for those who may not be aware, my window is Very Awkward as it is a half bay but there isn't a recess anywhere, so up to now all I have up are vertical blinds and a sort of lacy valance to hide the top of the blinds but it's no substitute for warm curtains!!)

Hope everyone is well - have a good Wednesday!! :D

Thanks everyone, he is still bouncy this afternoon so obviously well on the way back to his normal self :D 8-)

Gal, I hope you get your curtain situation sorted - I've not long closed the blinds and pulled the lined curtains in here (living room) and it makes such a difference to the heat n the room 8-)

Di, I hope you enjoyed the Fair - I had every intention of going down to the Christmas Fair in the Docks (really it's the remnants of the recent Victorian Market, which they are keeping going right up until Christmas) but it was So Very Cold when I got off the bus in town, after seeing my client, that I dived into M&S instead and got pressies for the in laws on their 3 for 2 offer, then got the bus home

Osc, that reminds me, I must post my nephew's card, as he is 23 on Sunday. NO idea how that happened, it seems no time at all since I travelled to see him, the day after he was born, and now he's 6ft 5

So glad to read that Fraggle's back to his usual self today :D

Gal, I hope the curtains are sorted. We had an awkward bay window in our old house, the window and frame went straight up to the ceiling, there wasn't any wall above it to fit a curtain rail to so it had to be fixed into the uPVC frame at the very top which wasn't ideal but there was no other way of having curtains there.

Well - he came but he couldn't do it :( The brackets supplied with the pole I bought are not long enough, they'd hardly be off the window, and crash into the vertical blinds!

So today I have, with John's help, ordered 4 extendable brackets and a knuckle to join the corner of the pole at the bay together. Good ol' ebay! Once they arrive, he will come and hopefully be able to get the pole up and then I can have curtains!!! :) I feel as though this has been the whole reason of my existence this past few weeks - maybe soon it will be completed and I can relax!! Jo it's a pain isn't it? If only this odd shaped room had a normal flat window with a recess.....

We went to the quiz last night, it was all Christmas themed....we came joint 5th, our team of three won £1.50! We'd paid £3 to enter!!

Ah well we strecthed our grey matter a little....

ETA, just a couple of pics to try and show what I am dealing with window wise......
