Morning all

Feeling loads better today; still not 100% but definitely on the up. I left work at 1pm yesterday and then had a 3 hour snooze when I got home - amazing what a difference that made.
Light grey skies with hazy sunshine here and not very cold - 10degrees. Apparently the snow is expected here tomorrow as well so i'll be monitoring that as the day progresses. Don't want to be stuck in London because SWT cancels its services because of 2 snowflakes.

Kaz, has the phototherapy made a difference do you think or is the result more long term?
Jo, that's a bit odd about Tesco. Although I must say it's one thing we always made sure of - that our passports never expired. I'm paranoid about that
Hope the dentist wasn't too bad Jen?

Hope everyone else has a lovely day xxxx

It seemed a bit daft to renew his passport when it expired Ria as he had no plans to use it with still being at school and doing exams and it would just have meant buying a passport which would sit in the drawer for two or three years before it was needed and therefore be wasted.

Morning :)
A rather lovely one, bright and sunny although a nasty cold wind.

We were up and at it early this morning as Little Minnie's dad had to go for day surgery, his wife driving, so we were walking her as well as our Big Minnie :D
Much easier with two of us, and it was a nice morning for a walk :)
Just seen they're back, so no more doggie duties, he must have been nice and early on the list.

Bb's working late and not going out till after lunch so we've also sorted out the airing cupboard.
The top shelf is huge, but had become an unmanageable heap, caused largely by me hauling out from underneath the red throws and Christmas cushion cover ;)
Found some towels for the local cat rescue, they're always grateful for those, and added a couple of old cushions too, thought they could use them for beds.
As Minnie's rescue is too far for dropping in we've sort of adopted the cat rescue for donating odds and ends like that. A while ago we gave them our old vacuum cleaner, you'd have thought it was gold bars :D

Glad you're feeling better Meriad, don't overdo it x
Hope the dentist is ok Jen x
The passport thing is largely to help protect against illegal immigrants I guess, though it always seems slightly offensive when you were born here! :cute:

We do the same with donations Di. The Dogs Trust centre is a bit far so we take things to the local branch of Birmingham Dogs Home. It's only down the lanes and it's on the way to Wolverhampton so we're passing regularly. I've actually got a load of blankets to take in as my Mom's been clearing out their airing cupboard too.

I thinks there's some kind of legal requirement, right to work or something like that, where employers must see a document stating your citizenship or whatever.

Jo it seems standard practice now, we also had to do it when we bought this house. Personally I am in favour of ID cards from birth, it would save the expense of passports that will otherwise not be used, but I know it's a touchy subject 8-)

Ria it has removed all of the rash, and the itch, but left scarring that might be longerm. I have updated on the Health board xxx

Evening, I meant to post this morning when we were on the bus, but didn't, and then forgot  We just needed a few things in town, I needed wool, and the printer needed ink. We ended up getting two DAB radios, one for the bedroom and one for the bathroom. FM reception is very dodgy here. They were in the sale so we virtually got two for the price of one. We thought DAB was the be-all and end-all if you had poor FM, well it turns out it isn't, but it is still much better than what we have had. It was a bright day although with quite a strong cold wind.

Osc, DAB is the same here. I've got one in the kitchen and one in the living room and Its not a brilliant reception but it's an improvement on FM.
