That's great Di. :D :D

Years ago we went for a weekend break to Murcia and the Rio Frio had trout galore swimming in it. The bar close by sold said trout and we bought two and brought them home.

I totally amazed myself by filleting them and cooking them like a pro. :o

Sounds like you had a smashing time. :D :D

I had done it before but a lot of years ago, ex and I stayed in a Devon cottage and there was a trout fishery up the lane.
We bought two to take home too, cooked one whole and filleted the other.
They were lovely but nothing like this size! :D

I've never filleted trout, but when I lived in Yorkshire a friend of Steve's used to bring us fresh cod from Whitby, on his way home to Bradford. I filleted most of it and froze it. I was definitely more domesticated in those days  ;)

glad you had a good time. I'm not overly fond of fish - same with Ossie, it's the bones in them that get me - regardless of how careful it's been filleted I'll be the one that will still end up with a bone

Enjoy eating them when the time comes

Glad you had a good time Di!

I remember being taught how to fillet a fish in home economics at school! It's not something I've ever done since though

Nothing nicer than fresh caught fish! Glad you had a lovely time - you can keep the gutting and cleaning though :?
