Hi all - sorry not been online much - we had the BEST day yesterday and I just didn't get the opportunity to get the laptop switched on

I was at work in the morning of course but we'd planned on popping out in the car after, we went to a place really close to us, where T drives sometimes with work, but had never been to this actual place....it's near Witton-le-Wear and as the name suggests, is right by the River Wear in Upper Weardale....it was a lovely warm day and the walk through the nature reserve was lovely...we had a coffee in the tiny café and then headed back via another pretty spot where we got out of the car for a mini walk but didn't stay long.....Chinese takeout in the evening and then we watched The Theory of Everything, well, almost watched, we both nodded off!! I'm not sleeping very well atm, so I guess it was catching up with me...

Sunny today, too, for now! I've been a busy bee with h/w and washing, and then I sat down to watch the serialised Mr Mercedes - I've seen two eps up to now. No plans as Tom is doing the farm and is having a mid-shift nap as I type LOL

Jen is currently somewhere over the Bay of Biscay as she and K fly to Portugal for a ten day holiday I'm of course flight tracking them - although it's not showing up on the usual site for some reason and the one I'm on isn't QUITE the same, but never mind...

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing xxx

Where is Jen going Gal?

The weather is cooler for the next couple of days, then hotting up again. Depending on where she is, of course.

Afternoon all, there was lots of rain during the night, it woke me up  It was still raining when we got up and for a lot of the morning, but has stopped now and it is a bit brighter. I've been busy sorting clothes for our holiday and have started my first list, I do love a list. Got Mr Osc to decide what he wants to bring and one pair of trousers needs cleaning, so that goes on the list. In a while I am going to check in online for the cruise, print everything out and do the luggage labels, so that will be a big thing off the list. I know we don't go away until Friday week, but the days fly by and as we have the children the day before we go, with a 7am flight the next morning, I want everything to be done by Wednesday of that week.

Thinking Beja or Évora. Beja is 45 minutes drive from us Évora is 2 hours.

Thanks Jan - it's Faro, the place I couldn't think of.

They've been on a guided walk yesterday around Porto - enjoyed it - I keep getting random messages....like today she filmed a family of cats in the bit below their balcony
