Good morning from Washington! It's 6.52am and we are both awake thanks to the time difference The flight was ok yesterday, it was a very long day but we finally got to the apartment about 6.15pm, 11.15pm home time. We are very pleased with the apartment, bigger than we thought with everything we need. There is a supermarket five minutes up the road so we went and got some basic supplies, came back and had something light to eat before going to bed. Slept quite well, all things considered.

We got an email yesterday evening cancelling today''s White House tour I saw on Twitter that Trump is making a statement about the Iran deal at 12.45 and our tour was 1.30, so that probably explains it. Oh well.

Time for brekkie, I think!

Osc, glad your flight was ok

No lie-in here! Despite falling exhausted into bed at 2am (4am Rhodes time) with two very happy furry little friends, we were wide awake at 7.30 and by 9 I was hoovering and had the first washer load on! I'm still on Rhodes time I think

We had a great time but it's nice to be home

Update! We had got an email early Wednesday evening from the Irish embassy saying we had got a tour through them, so I emailed back and said we already had one. However I emailed yesterday evening and explained about today’s, saying that if the offer was still there, we would be grateful. Heard back this morning and it seems that we are ok for Tuesday
