Oh Jen, I hope that you can get something sorted soon. My Mom was stuck in the house for a couple of months before having her hip replacement, she found the thought of using a scooter too daunting so soldiered on with a stick until it became too bad for that. She was chuffed to bits the other day because she'd gone out on her own for the first time
Yep, misery sums her up. Despite recent health worries and extensive tests nothing, has been found to be wrong physically, she's fit, still in her 60s and has no money worries. She really should count her blessings. Life really is for living, not sitting around watching daytime TV and waiting for other people to make things happen for you. I've suggested she try volunteering as a way to meet people but she wasn't interested. She reads and knits but book clubs and knit and natter don't interest her either.
She goes back tomorrow.
