Wouldn't have thought so Ria - we need at least 2 years worth of rain to get it anywhere near normal

Just checked the weather forecast - down to 3C :o :o  tonight and -0 for another 2 nights

Bright and frosty with a bitterly cold wind this morning.

Kaz, that's so good of Mick. Poor Becky though, it's really not good enough is it. Joe was saying that his bus was half an hour late on Tuesday morning and he really had to rush to get to college on time, the bus stops right outside of the main college but the engineering department isn't actually in the town centre so he has a 10 minute walk from the nearest stop. He said that when it did eventually come it wasn't a full sized single decker and it only stopped at one stop after here because it was filled to capacity.

Di, that sounds like a lovely day!

Good morning all.

Sunny, dry, but blinking cold here.

Enjoyed my morning walk though. Nothing planned for today., but I've plenty of odd jobs to do.

Hope you are all well.

Morning all :D

E tells me it's absolutely freezing out there today, will definitely take his word for it

Hope you're feeling a bit better today Saundra xx

Kaz how annoying for Becky, thank goodness Mick was around to help. We're very lucky with the bus service here. It's called the loop and does exactly that, looping around to all the villages every 7 mins. Of course busy traffic sometimes interrupts the flow and two buses can come along together, but overall you rarely wait longer that 10mins or so. Even better the bus stop is just 4mins walk round the corner from us. We're using the car at the moment, but when I'm back on my feet it will be the bus again.

Not much happening here, still nursing a cold, need to get rid of it before the family invasion this weekend.

Have a good day :D

We did have a good time but have come home for lunch after all, it was a bit chilly in the second garden centre.

The fair was good, but not as big as last year; I did buy one small present, and they did particularly nice coffee :)
It's normally a very posh restaurant/hotel, with beautiful grounds, so enjoyable to visit anyway.

Some lovely Christmas bits at both garden centres, but not the lights we wanted, so Bb has just found some online...we do try to support local businesses but gosh you miss Woollies at times like this!

Woolies is very much missed still isn't it?! I was looking for Christmas cards last week and nowhere I've looked seems to have a very wide selection this year, apart from expensive boxes of eight or ten cards, and I thought that I'd have found what I wanted in Woolies.

Afternoon all, glorious sunshine here but it is flipping cold! I've been to the post office to take out money, then to the gym. We usually do the supermarket shop on Wednesday, but we are going away for the weekend so may just top up locally. I have a mountain of ironing to do, so will start on that. Then maybe some knitting later on.

I still miss Woollies as well! It was such a useful shop :(

Mick is a brilliant stepdad, we are lucky :) The buses were running normally by 10 when I went out, thankfully! Jen ours are normally great too, every ten minutes, but last Monday they missed two out and I was almost late for my WW meeting :? I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing problem

I've been out almost all day, and it was freezing! Luckily I wore my warmest coat, a grey wool 3/4 length that's probably two sizes too big for me now but still ok over a thick jumper and jeans Brrrrr!! It was nice to catch up with A, then I did a bit more shopping, met B in town after work and we got the bus home together.
