I'm glad Mr Osc is feeling better Osc and good luck today Di. A free cruise! I could do with one of those.

Well. It's been a bit different this morning. I've been up to let the dog out for our daughter, but before that our neighbour K had come round. Her husband, G, had fallen in the bedroom and couldn't get up; she couldn't pick him up either unsurprisingly.

The background is that G was a hard working man all his life and retired at 65. Just before he finished he started getting funny sensations in his legs and weakness. After seven years during which time this got worse, he was eventually diagnosed with some type of multiple sclerosis (they think). Nowadays he can't walk anywhere, can't go outside and has to have a stair lift.

So anyway I went round and G had collapsed in the bedroom. He had hit the bedroom radiator as he went down and was very shaken. Eventually I got behind him and lifted him up onto the bed. Long story short, we eventually got him to the stair lift and downstairs to his chair. He is very weak though. The effort of just getting his hands onto his walking frame and getting to the stair lift made his arms shake and tremble. Poor bloke.

Hopefully that's the excitement done for today.

On a different subject the local sparrowhawk is back. K told me that it had attacked and killed a magpie in their back garden a couple of days since. I wondered what all the feathers were!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here, looking out of the window it could be the middle of summer. Having said that, our local news says snow's expected again this Sat/Sun. Really hope not, if we get it here it's bound to put my op next week at risk!!

Good luck today Di, hope you get home at a reasonable time xx

Got my new phone, went for the Samsung Galaxy S8 in the end and it's lovely, I'm really pleased with it.

Nothing much happening here, got the washing on and that's about it.

Have a good day :D

You'd recommend the Galaxy S8 then Jen?

I've been googling that one as I've decided to buy a new phone.

It comes out top in the Android smartphone reviews Ally. Of course that will change tomorrow when they release the S9, but of course that's a lot more money and doesn't offer significantly more. I'm a big Samsung fan, my last two phones have been in the Galaxy range. Really pleased with the S8......shhhh feeling like a kid with a new toy

I'm also a big Samsung fan Jen; I had the S5 on my last contract but have now got the A5 as of the beginning of this year - I just found the monthly cost of the S8 too high; otherwise I'd have stuck with the S range

But I'm more than happy with the one I have now, more memory, excellent camera and all round it's perfect

You're absolutely right Ria, I did look at the A5 and it would be a much better monthly tariff, just couldn't resist the S8. I'm with O2 and Carphone Warehouse offered a reasonably good deal plus £40 trade in on my S5. He also threw in a £49.99 clear view case for £20.
