Haven't tried the bus yet Ria, the problem is I need a seat where I can stretch the operated leg out in front and there aren't many of those. All our big shops and the cinema are out of town so it's a taxi there and back.

Ramsgate town centre isn't huge, we love it because there's a choice of two 'proper' greengrocers and butchers. The only supermarket is at the top of a hill. Lots of hills, cobbles and uneven pavements, to save the ankle have decided to leave it another week or so before tackling it. Really, really miss walking down to the harbour though.

Got to say, I don't think I'd risk the busses here if I was having to be careful of my leg. I'm sure taxis are a bit safer ;)
