Morning all, it is dull and cool here :( I need to pop out to get some money, do some cleaning around the house, and then meeting two school friends for lunch. One is visiting from Florida, she asked me to arrange a meet up, but as she only asked me last week, just one friend was available - we retired people have busy lives! However, it will no doubt be a couple of hours with lots of catching up and plenty of laughter.

The teeshirt that Di sent me arrived this morning, it is a perfect fit and a great colour :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Had another good nights sleep, feeling really tired though, not sure why. My exercise routine has slipped this last week, managing to do some of the ankle ones, but the hip's still very sore so don't want to aggravate it.

This afternoon we're off to the cinema to see Mission Impossible: Fallout. We've loved all of them and this one has brilliant reviews so really looking forward to it. Tom Cruise and lots of action, nuff said...….

Hope you all have a good day :D

Best laid plans and all that

The cashpoint machine wouldn-t give me any cheques  Even one of the girls from the bank tried. No. :cute: She tried in the bank, that didn-t work either. So she suggested we go to Beja, Odemira, Aljustrel or the Algarve   Said we-d wait until next week

All the tv-s in Worten were ginormoous. Couldn-t pay for the furniture without a cheque, so will go back on Monday. Got the tiles for the walls and also the shower room tiles. Lush, they are, really lovely.

Did the supermarket, got the tablets we needed and now Grumpy is going to cut a hole in the wall for a shelf in the shower.

I bought myself a new purse/card holder, so will sort that out then head for the pool, as it- rather warm now 8-)

Good afternoon all, I'm a bit late checking in!

I've spent the morning getting stuff together for our trip to Wales for John's nephew's wedding in the morning. Nails are done, hair is done and my bag is mostly packed. We're leaving in about an hour, dropping Billy off with my parents first. He's staying there overnight. I really dislike the drive down there. It's about 3 hours but always feels much, much longer. We've booked a hotel for tonight in Bridgend and John's been vague about what time we're arriving as his sister likes to organise things, makes plans and takes over without asking if you already have plans, as far as they're all aware he's not finishing work until 5...so our plan is that we're going to check into the hotel and then drive to Porthcawl for fish and chips on the beach.
The wedding is at 11.30 tomorrow so we'll have to leave soon after the meal and drive back and pick Billy up as John has work on Thursday.

Have a good day all :)

Oh back Jo! Hope the rest of the journey goes better, and the wedding is enjoyable :)

It's hot again out there! Went for my "cooking" then D and I hit The Range - she bought a load of stuff (baby wool, and stuff) but I bought a new bird feeder and some plant food for under a fiver  I know how to live it up..... :P
