I'm having a nightmare at work just now. So many new staff, and people just not doing things right. I might have posted about it last week, well it continues......today two pairs of specs have disappeared. Ordered July 19th so really should have been chased up long before now, no-one can find the reference for them, not the lab and not any of the other branches.....worst thing is both are reglazes (where new lenses are put into a person's existing frame) so she has nothing to wear! I'm frankly disgusted with the new woman - D.O???? She hasn't a bloomin' clue. I don't know what to do next - I'm really stumped.
Weather is a little fresher here today. Tom has the grandkids up at the van, he was meant to be there with Amy also, but things are still unstable on that front too since the other week so he's got them there on his own, this is the second week in a row that he's taken holiday from work to babysit. I've had a lovely peaceful weekend though.....
Jen said something the other day which I can't shake off.....it's actually upset me a lot but too late to do anything about it now. Might post on another board.
Oh Kaz...poor Fraggle We had Billy with a poorly tum a month or so ago - my Fitbit registered 54 minutes sleep that night and that didn't start until just after 5am
I did intend to check in earlier but it's been a busy day, after a busy weekend! I picked a big bag of blackberries while out with Billy this morning so have taken those to my Mom. Dad used to be able to cross the railway line to some good blackberry bushes but now that the track has been upgraded, or is in the process of being upgraded as it is at the moment, the pedestrian crossing has been permanently closed.
Right...off to put the washing machine on now that both lads have sorted out their laundry and then I'm waiting for John to text me. One of his colleagues turns 65 today so they've all gone out after work so he's cycled in and will get a bus home and I'll walk down via the woods, golf course and the park to meet him with Billy. I'm getting a bit nervous about snakes though when I'm out and about; John saw an adder while out on the Chase yesterday and our vets posted on Facebook yesterday that they've treated several dogs with adder bites this last week and they've been sighted in areas where they've not been seen before. Joe even said that there was a lad walking through town with a pet snake around his neck last week Wild or pet, I think I'd pass out if I saw one.
When B had her pet corn snake I was ok with it - not enamoured, but not scared. No way would I let her have a pet spider though, even though she handled them at college The weird thing is she is petrified of tiny, spindly house spiders, yet is ok with tarantulas I asked her how that works, apparently it's because the tiny ones are so fast and they scuttle
