John was on his way to Sunderland for a weekend site visit by 7am and I took Billy out just after he left. I ran into Julie from across the road, she was just coming back from the woods (they have a gate from their back garden onto the common) so Billy and her dog had a play while we had a natter. Then when we were nearly home again we ran into one of the local Parish councillors, he's a lovely man and always stops for a chat...so this morning's walk was a sociable affair
Once I was home it was a quick shower and change and then I walked down to town for some emergency shopping. I've sort of had my long-planned for weekend to myself 'stolen' from under my nose! Joe's out this evening and working all day tomorrow and Tom's working today and was then going to Shannon's until Monday so I had the house pretty much to myself with John being away until tomorrow night. I was SO looking forward to this rare occurrence and sitting here tonight with some sweets and Baileys while binge watching Parks and Rec...but now Shannon's coming here instead, I think she and her Mom need a bit of space, so bye bye plans! Don't get me wrong, I love having her here but really really really wanted a quiet weekend. Wishing I'd got myself a ticket to the football now so at least I'd have had some 'me' time.
