Great news about Charlie, Jan. xxx

We got home to find the twins waiting here for us. (There should be a heart emoji) :D

Did 2 loads washing, pegged it out and will leave it overnight as there is no chance of rain.

Uploaded some pics on fb and soon we're all going into town to Gambrinus for a beer and a bite to eat.

:D :D

Afternoon all :)

That's good news about your grandson, Jan :D

Glad you enjoyed Nerja, Ally. A volatile there sounds like a good idea :)

Hiya Ria, let us know about the vegan roast - not sure I could fit a whole one in my oven! ;)

I'd quite like to take our decs down now - the tree, at least - but my sister is coming next weekend, so they might stay up until Sunday 6th :?

Just been pootling, doing our usual Saturday thing :) We've been round to see D, we were all in the "best" front room, which is very cosy - nice for Christmas ;)

Love to all xxx

By heck, that was bluddy cold down at the bar

We were in full sun, so much so that the awning had to come out, then Jan and Joquinha turned up. And we sat, sat sitting and chatting. For a couple of hours

One nice compliment - Dimantino, chef at the Four Seasons in Vilamoura, loved my dessert :Hi: :Hi:

Fire lit, curry warning 8-)

Hi everyone!!!

meriad wrote:sorry for not posting much the past few days - the days have just flown by, I've not had the laptop up (and hate typing longer things on my phone - fat finger syndrome and no patience don't make for a good combination).

Ditto and ditto!!! Sorry not been online myself either.....I last logged on at work on Tuesday (Christmas Eve) so apologies for being AWOL, after a busy day on The Day, on Boxing Day my sister came over and we spent the day chatting, eating and watching The Crown on Netflix (she doesn't have Netflix but I know she's always interested in the Royals) and then yesterday Tom was on annual leave so we went out for a walk to Seaburn, it was wet and windy but it blew some cobwebs off andI personally hadn't been out of the house since Tuesday so good to get some fresh air!! :)

I've been so looking forward to today, finally a day of no entertaining, and a day on my own, planned on going to the shops, and having a mooch and a coffee etc etc (T landed on me on Monday that he promised to take the farm dogs to the dog track which means he's out from 10am to about 8ish) so when I got used to the idea, I planned my day today. Late last night, he came to bed saying Donna had text him asking if I was busy tomorrow (today) and could I watch Lily from 11.30 "until Lewis's tournament finishes"!! I said I had plans and he asked if Lily could tag along.....well I was stuck because much as I adore her I had REALLY wanted today to myself so I said no and he text D back but he was frustrated with her for leaving it so late in the week and took that frustration out on me. He has apologised since. I got up after a sleepless night and said I would alter my plans and watch her for couple of hours to keep the peace. But was at pains to point out that I felt that a) Donna should have messaged me directly and b) she'd been in my company on C Day why could she not have asked me then??? And c) I was only changing my plans to keep the peace.

Anyway John brings Lily to ours this morning and we had a nice couple of hours together and then T had arranged for Amy to pick her up and take her to the dog track (Amy was meeting Tom there anyway and she'd be there to keep an eye on Lily). So win win for both of us, I went out later than originally planned but still got some of my day to myself, and John could take Lewis to his football tournament without having to take Lily along too. Trouble was Lily got upset when Amy arrived, it broke my heart to see her little eyes full of tears, she came running to me for a cuddle when Amy said to get her shoes and coat on. It was awful. I felt so guilty as I left the house myself.....BUT I have spoken to her on the phone and she is fine!!! PHEW!!!

Words will be had with both John and Donna though.

Hope you all have a lovely evening xxxx
