Morning all :D

Lovely bright sunshine again today 8-)

That has made me chuckle

Finally had an e-mail telling us our Barbados flight's have been cancelled. It qualifies us for a full refund, expect I'll have to call them though as their website is only offering vouchers, no point for us. When all this is over, E will be waiting for his op. Will also have to see what airbnb are doing, they were offering full refunds, but that was up to the date before we were due to fly. Hopefully they've updated that now, just a case of waiting.........

Think my day will consist of hanging on the phone, we might have another tidy in the garden later.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Thanks Jan, he says aches and pains, a temp, and he's staying in bed. His dad is looking after him well xx

Morning all. I've been to Sainsbury's to do our weekly shop, and D's. I walked up there - daily exercise - and Mick picked me up. Then we dropped D's round to her - it was horrid having to stand right back at the top of the drive when she answered the door :? Catching a bit of telly now, before tackling the ironing.

It's an absolutely stunning day here, bright blue skies!

Love to all xxxx

Hello all, it’s a glorious day here.

I’ve just sat down so it’s the first chance I’ve had to properly visit today. I was out with Bill by 6.30 for an hour in the hope of avoiding people and since then I’ve been ironing and cleaning, and making tea for John. The Tesco delivery came too and it wasn’t bad, four substitutions which were fine and five items undelivered.

Osc, I was only thinking earlier that it’s like a really cruel joke that we’re having played on us. We’ve had months of rain and storms and now it’s finally improved we can’t go out and make the most of it.

Take care everyone xx

Good afternoon everybody,

A lovely sunny day. Walked to pick up pescriptions this morning. Normally chemist opens at 8.15 a.m. It is now only opening at 9.00 a.m. Went back in car.
There was a queue with everybody satnding two metres apart. Brought pescriptions to the door which was kept locked. Had to go inside to pay for eye wash.
Used credit card to pay so did not have to handle cash. Waited nearly 30 minutes to be served.

We have planned to have a new garage door fitted. Phoned the man who is going to fit it. Told me one supplier is not anwering the phone, another has stoped delivery drivers going out with orders and a third has an answering machine.
Had a n eamil from the coach firm we use to say they have stopped all services to Southampton. Coaches are in the garage and drivers and mechanics are at home. Will be getting a refund for the two trips we have booked for this year.
Have been in the garden. It is very hot. Willbe taking the rubbish to the dump next week as we cannot put it in our bins.
May power wash the flags at the back tomorrow if it stays like this

Cruiser, do check before you go. They've shut the household recycling centres / dumps in Dorset.

Osc I can't help but be concerned that Edward taking the children out is not a good plan, given you are different households? xxx

What a gorgeous day!! I've sat in the garden in a vest top for ages reading and doing crosswords, it's more like summer than spring!

Changed the bed linen this morning, after a nice lie in, then this pm I have baked a lemon drizzle cake. I baked a banana cake last week with extra ripe bananas we had left, I've not baked in yonks before this! We took the dogs out for our exercise, and then I have been watching bits of telly.

Has anyone seen The English Game on Netflix? We started watching it last night, think it might be good, a bit different.

I'll be due a grocery shop tomorrow, not desperate and not supposed to be going out where there are any others, so uncertain how to play it - D said she'd get it but I am so sorry for her, she is on the front line at hospital and the stress levels are off the scale.

Would we be able to go for a drive do you think? Not get out of the car, just maybe take a flask and a few sarnies and eat them in the car?

Keep on staying home everyone....Kaz how is H today? xxx

Gal, I think that your car trip would be treated as a non-essential journey.

Certainly in Cornwall, for example, the police have said you'd be liable to be stopped and asked what you're up to!

He said earlier that he had aches and pains, and was struggling to get out of bed, but when Becky spoke to her dad this evening Harry had been up and eating dinner - so not as bad as all that ;)
