Good morning everybody,

Went to the chemist totry to get repaet pscription. It only opens at 9.00 a.m. I was first in queue at 8.15 a.m. One of the sraff went in and took my pescription. After about ten minutes the chemist came to the door to say he had not got supplies of the pescription I wanted. So will have to go back tomorrow.
When I left there were 20 waiting in the queue. Good job it is sunny.
Have now washed the car. There was fine dust on it.
Have learnt one of the men who came dancing has died from the virus. He was nearly 90. He lived near Blackburn.
Am keeping two meters away from the sceen as I type this.
Have a good day everybody

Thanks guys. Charter signed, just waiting for the flight details.

Only one risk left is that the police don't let my son on the plane. All other documentation is done. However son tells me that if you have valid reason to move the police don't care as it gets you out of their hair and they don't have to do any work.

He passed 10 checkpoints to get to where he is and they didn't stop him.

Good morning all,

Like Cruiser, I went to the pharmacy this morning for our monthly repeat prescriptions. Got there about 9:45 (they open 9:30) and there was a well-behaved queue of around a dozen folk.

Our pharmacy is, shall we say, not noted for its efficiency. I was queueing for just under an hour before I got inside the store. That's 5 minutes per customer. The problem is they can never find anything on their shelves. Luckily, they had everything Mrs. O and I need - but then I'd also taken the precaution (based on past experience) of allowing at least 5 working days from putting the prescriptions in at the surgery rather than the recommended 72 hours. The lady in front of me was not so lucky. She had put her prescription in on Tuesday, and was told that it had not been processed. She left virtually in tears; I felt so sorry for her.

This is an area of the NHS that really needs shaking up once this current crisis is over. Dorset NHS's rule that you are only allowed 28 days medicaments per prescription (3 months elsewhere, i.e. Birmingham) is plainly ridiculous and has created 3x the footfall for the pharmacists, who then have 3x the work and are liable to make 3x the mistakes, as I found out to my cost during 2019.

Sorry for the rant, but such inefficiency annoys me.

Anyway, we're done now. Bitterly cold out there today, grateful to be back home with a steaming mug of coffee. Very much a contast to yesterday's warm sun when we were out doing gardening. Keep safe, all.

Good morning all, it’s another sunny one.

I walked Billy early before too many people were out, I’ve cleaned the rest of the windows, there’s a load of washing to be done but I’ll leave that until tomorrow - can’t be having too much excitement in one day.

I’m starting to think about what to make for lunch. I’m used to just catering for myself but now there’s John and Tom too and Joe will possibly be working from home after Tuesday.
It’s hard because it’s so difficult still to get the basics and whereas a loaf would last a week with me just having lunch, it’ll only last a couple of days with four of us and I went to four shops last night before I found a loaf for my parents, and that was the last one on the shelf. Normally Tom buys a salad or something and John and Joe both take pasta or rice meals which I’ve batch cooked and which they can reheat at work but of course those can’t be used as alternatives when we can’t get bread because we can’t get those either.

Crommers, like you I’m used to being in and out all day. It’s so hard isn’t it.

Stay well all xxx

Good morning all :)

Just briefly popping in to say Hi as I'm currently at one end of D's patio, while she's at the other! Social distancing extremely carefully, but she needed me to pick up some bits today today.

Will post properly later xxxx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Good luck to your son Suff, hope everything goes to plan and he's soon back home. Crommers is right, he's lucky to have a dad like you.
My son said much the same Jo, he went to multiple shops to get the basics too.
((((Saundra)))) will be thinking of you tomorrow xx

We normally collect our meds from Boots, I arranged for delivery, just hoping they get it right because getting through to our branch is mission impossible.

Just heard our lovely big greengrocer has closed, it's been in business for years, all the staff were told it was with immediate effect. Our little independent hardware shop has also closed for good. Makes me wonder what Ramsgate centre will look like when this is all over.

Harry and Meghan are all over the papers again. It appears they've moved to LA, not sure why anyone would be surprised, it's been obvious for a while now her primary aim is to make it big in Hollywood. Wonder how long that marriage will last!!

It's washing day, beds stripped and the first load is in, oh what an exciting life I lead

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Jen, that’s a shame about the greengrocers. We used to have a lovely one in town but the owner sold it and the new owners didn’t have a quarter of the stock that it had before and it closed within six months of them taking it over, now we haven’t got one at all.

Saundra, my Mom was having trouble getting washing up liquid too, the Co-op had a few bottles when I was last in there so I managed to get her one.

Another one here used to bring out every day, often several.times, so it does feel very odd!

Saundra, it took me several tries to get D some washing-up liquid! I was on the verge of letting her have half of mine, then managed to get her a bottle of Sainsbury's own brand.

Jen, D and I were saying the same, about the small businesses :? I give H and Meghan five years, ten tops, sad to say :(

Jo, we're also whacking through the bread faster than usual! Luckily I've been able to find it, plus I have a pack of breadmix if I need it.

Ossie, that does need a shakeup

It's another stunning day here, somehow the gorgeous weather makes everything even more unreal :?
