Morning everyone!

So far today B and I have had a Slimming World meeting via Zoom, and we've all had a phone chat with D. The Zoom meeting was interesting, it was more difficult than the exercise classes I've used it for as they didn't require me to speak as well! In the end we solved it by using a laptop and earphones   One of the regular members is just starting to recover from the virus - she said it had been horrid, but her lungs felt a lot better today.

We're fine for food, but I just tried to order more dog food from Amazon and it's out of stock :? I should have made a bigger order last time, but was trying not to stockpile. B can get us some from work, just not their regular brand :? Trivial I know, when people are having to struggle to get food deliveries, but changing their food tends to upset their stomachs.

Saundra, that's brilliant :Hi:

Osc, cocooning has a nicer ring to it 8-)

Ria, that is mad! xxx

Glad you got your bread and eggs Jo! All round to yours for egg butties then? ;)

Glad you're all ok Crommers, nice idea about the bench!

Huge ((((((hugs))))))) for you and your dad, Ally xxx

For you too (((((((Saundra))))))))

Take care everyone xxxx

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny, but a bit windy.

Hugs for you and your dad Ally xx
((((Saundra)))) thinking of you today, glad your delivery was complete.
Cocooning is a lovely word Osc.

JoM wrote:Crommers, the Tesco delivery man was saying the other day that I was only his second delivery and pointed to the inside of his van which was looking quite empty - the people before us had had 40 BAGS of shopping (everything is packed in bags for life). I had 11 and some of that was for my parents.

That's awful, whatever are Tesco thinking about, I thought they were rationing items :o

Boots rang earlier to check I'd be home Monday afternoon for delivery of one of my prescriptions, so our new arrangement seems to be working, so far so good. Mind you they needn't have asked as we're just going into our second week in lockdown, but nice they checked. Getting into their website is another matter, I'm currently in a virtual queue, only 131360 in front of me!!!

Surprise, surprise, nothing happening here, another lazy day beckons.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good morning! Week 2 of lockdown begins today for us. It would be nice to go for a walk or get out in the garden, but it's blowing up a Hooley down here, and very cold with it, so we're housebound. Reading and radio, mainly, although I might do a bit of computer gaming a bit later on if I can fire up the ancient second computer - the games I have are old technology and don't run on Windows 10!

Thoughts for you, {{Saundra}} ….

Interesting reading about folk's shopping experiences. We're pretty much stocked up with enough to get us through 3-4 weeks, but of course the fresh stuff will run out quite soon. Mrs O has likened it to being on a clipper ship going to Australia - you have what you have, and if you run out, you run out. "Hopefully we can land before we're down to the weevilled ship's biscuits," she said. On one of his last shopping forays, Ossie came back triumphant from the Co-op with 4 fresh limes! :D In mitigation, it was all that they had!! "Well, as least we won't get scurvy," opined Mrs O …. :P

Master O finished his 7 day self-isolation Thursday night, and whatever he had, it wasn't the virus. So he returns to the front line on Monday, and has been told he's been transferred out of the children's wing to Intensive Care … :? He reports that yesterday he had to go out and do an emergency supermarket run, and whilst queuing, he and others had to step in and break up a full-on screaming fight between two youngish lasses. Rolling on the floor, hair pulling stuff. Security ambled up after it was all over and tempers had been calmed. We shall be glad when he leaves London; this virus is bringing out the worst as well as the best in some people … :|

Take care, all.

Similar here, Ossie - Tom is almost 100% better so his 7 day isolation ends tomorrow so back to work Monday, while mine continues another week at least.....he never had it, it was a CI.

We awoke this morning to news that it very much looks like Donna has the virus and may have given it to Lily :( I had given some thought that this may happen, but Tom hadn't, so it threw him into a spin - I shoved him outside to finish painting the garden fence! She was waiting to hear from her colleagues at hospital to see if/when she could go for a test. She just Facetimed, she's in bed aching everywhere and a cough and she hasn't had a test :(

So other than that I have been reading, crosswording and trying not to panic too much. I honestly don't think Tom would survive it if he got it, given his chest history.

Here's a funny thing - I woke this morning and my bedside clock (set to automatically adjust for Daylight Savings) said 7.15 and I touched the radiator and it was cold, I thought the pressure had dropped again but then Tom said it was only 6.15 - for some reason the daft clock had jumped forward a day early!! They'll be sorted tonight.

Tom will do a supermarket shop tomorrow for us. I'll have to make a list....
