Jen, I remember when my mom had her hip replacement - the relief from the previous non-stop pain was instant and from the moment she woke up after the anaesthetic she felt and sounded so much happier. Fingers crossed E is home very soon x What is the issue with your bed, is it too high or too low; could it be adjusted to be more suitable for E?

Cruiser, pootling in the garden is so good for the soul; hopefully not much longer before you can get out there and potter and lose yourself in your thoughts and emotions.

The bed's too low Ria, it was blocked up when I had my op and I'm under 5'2, E is over 6'. I e-mailed them all the measurements 3 weeks ago, seems silly to only be looking at it now. We'll see, apparently they will be checking to see how he manages sometime today.

Afternoon all, it’s sunny now after a grey start but there’s still a chilly breeze.

I went to Home Bargains this morning, it’s the only place I seem able to find Bill’s favourite Pedigree Biscrok biscuits at a decent price. I ordered him some Winalot Shapes from Tesco a couple of months ago and he was appalled! He’d eventually take one and then just let it fall out of his mouth and onto the floor

Glad to hear that E is doing well. My Mom noticed a difference in timings between her two replacements. The first one, in 2000, she was kept in bed for a few days afterwards but when she had her second (3 or 4 years ago) they’d got her out of bed and walking the following day and she was home two days later.

Hope you’ll soon be out in your garden Cruiser x

Have a good day all :)
