Hello everyone - good afternoon to you

Jan - excellent news; it must be quite a relief to have got that sorted. And glad that Steve was able to sort the laptop
Ally - 40 is just a tad warm, even for me :D I'm with Crommers - around 25 (maybe just a teeny bit more) with sunshine would be perfect :D
Saundra - it's a tad humid here as well and the skies are grey and threatening rain but there's just a damp feel to everything
Jen, same as you, I managed to get stuff done in the garden yesterday. I need to pop to the garden centre to get more compost before carrying on - will do that a bit later today.
Cruiser, can't wait to hear all about the new kitchen - what colour scheme have you gone with?
Osc, hope you get everything sorted

I've had a busy morning work things which does make the day go fast :)

Nothing exciting to report this end - have a lovely day all x

Good afternoon, all!

Boy is it sticky out there today. :| Just walked up to the surgery to put the prescriptions in, about 3/4 mile each way and came back drenched in sweat. Not a day for going out if you're a pollen sufferer either.

I usually take a short cut up a grassy bank and across an open meadow, but there's still a fair bit of undrained standing water around after a deluge overnight. The "Mighty Stur" is flowing freely, and the riverside walk continues to be eroded so that the local council has had to erect unsightly 6' steel barriers along certain stretches as the tarmac is crumbling away. Still, spotted a moorhen on the water; they're increasingly rare birds in this stretch of the river.

Back home to dry out and enjoy a cuppa tea. :D

Meriad,
The worktop is grey with white doors. Grey tiles between the worktop and the top cupboards.
Am taking photos so you will be able to see it before the units were fitted and the finsished kitchen.
The fitter has managed to fit a new stop valve which will be under the sink. This is so I can have a water meter fitted.

Evening everyone :)

Ossie, I have no idea how our weather has been both humid and cold today, but it has :cute:

I've been to town with Em, as usual on a Monday. Becky is on a late shift, so won't be home until about 8.30. Mick's been for blood tests, I'm pretty peed off with our surgery, might post about that elsewhere.

Love to all xxx
