Good afternoon all, it’s been beautifully sunny all day, quite windy and cold though.

Took Bill for a paddle through the woods and over the common first thing. There are drainage ditches, about 2ft deep and 3ft wide, on the common and they’ve overflowed onto the paths.

Joe’s been off work today, he’s got holiday to use before the end of the year, so he’s been watching football all day. He’s just gone to meet some friends at a pub to watch the England game.

The Tesco delivery came this morning and they really are getting worse. The driver said he’s been getting loads of complaints since the Christmas staff have been taken on. Bread items packed under heavy things and very short dated meat and dairy goods were the problems I’ve had today, plus one of the advent calendars I’d ordered looked like it’d been walked on. They’ve refunded all of that though and what can be frozen is now in the freezer as you don’t have to return any of it.

Crommers, we’ve had tea from Ringtons a few times and it’s lovely.

Enjoy the rest of the day all :)

Oh, that's annoying Jo! It's all very well that they give refunds, but you just want what you ordered in decent condition, don't you?

Cruiser, I've also heard it called a Manchester screwdriver.

I thought it must be about eight o'clock; it's just past six o'clock! I haven't adjusted to the early dark nights yet.

Hate these dark early nights.

By half five, I was talking about shutting the shutters
