Hey! Good to see you once again Ms. Jean. I wish we had your rain. Right now it is snowing 2-3 inches PER HOUR.
I am supposed to be getting a ride home from the shop foreman - who drives an enormous truck. :o But in lieu of
that, I will have to camp out at work overnight... I am SO dedicated to my job.

You ARE kidding Elaine.... 2-3 inches per hour!

Or maybe not. My cousin lives out in the plains of Alberta and most of his home is underground - only the garage and a kitchen diner upstairs - that's becasue when it snows IT SNOWS! so it's warmer... and in summer it is cooler.

Those Canucks have some things sorted.

I actually shoveled 7" of snow off the roof of my car this morning before the shop foreman picked me up. There's no way I could have driven my car in this. By the end of tonight we are to have about 14-16 inches in total from the start of the storm last night. So the plow guys are out in force at the moment. The guy I rode in with has a gigantic truck that has a plow attachment in the front of it, so if we get stuck, I don't know what we'll do!

I remember snow days when I lived in the DC area although they were never that bad. I used to set the alarm for the usual time and if I heard that government and schools were closed just turn over and go back to sleep. That's one advantage of working for the government. We moved to Florida because we were tired of digging our cars out of the snow every winter. It was then we found out about hurricanes. Now it's rain. I guess there is nowhere perfect weatherwise. Drive safely Elaine
