For a Portuguese restaurant, very unusual.

We normally get chips, rice and a salad of either lettuce, tomato and onion. or tomato and onion.

That's the fig tree gone

It was a huge tree and we didn't get many figs, as the blue jays got most of them.

Jose Felipe came up this afternoon, took him less than 3 minutes and it was gone

On Saturday we took Eliza to a playground in the next village. It's behind the local social club. Whilst I was sitting in the car park a white hatchback pulled up with the window down. It parked out of sight of the main road next to a skip. Ten minutes later a lad walked through the car park. Black track suit bottoms, white t-shirt, skinny and wearing a woolly hat on a warm day. He goes up to the car, hands something through the open window to the driver, driver passes him something which he slips into his pocket.

There are a couple of Cop shows on the minor channels, plenty of drugs busts when cars are stopped. There are bags of wraps of Class A and C drugs yet all the drivers / passengers get is a caution and maybe a small fine.

Hence the deals in broad daylight!

Similar to Saundra. A few years ago there was a neighbour....

A motorbike would come and park, engine running, on the roundabout just below my window. The neighbour would arrive and they would do fist bumps and the cross-handshake. It was obvious what was going on.

The police did not seem interested even though one neighbour with small children reported the bike number plate.
