We had a "Mr Whippy" down the Close for the first time in about four years this afternoon!
Must be bad trade at the moment down at the seaside to see one around the town.

John called me earlier, his friend was involved in the dog attack near Walsall yesterday.
He was driving by as it was happening and stopped to try and help get the dogs off the man, he said it was horrific. The poor man who was attacked died.

Quite, Jo, I'd have gone to my freezer for a white choc Moments from Asda for 45p or a cider lolly at the outrageous price of 25p.

I'd want the whole van for £2.99!

I fully agree. They should be banned, and the existing dogs culled. And in the meantime any owner should be made liable for the dog's actions, up to a murder charge if necessary.

Not true. My neighbour has a large Staffie and it is super friendly. We always had Alsatians ~ (dangerous dogs eh?) - and they were the best dogs ever.

It's the owners who need controlling. Some of them actively train these dogs to be dangerous, but that can be done for any dog, even small ones such as Corgis or Jack Russels.

There’s a man on our estate with one, he lives in a flat so the dog doesn’t have a garden to let off steam, and when he walks the dog he’s always smoking weed (the man, not the dog). He’s a feeble looking man who doesn’t look like he could control a hamster let alone his dog, you see him being pulled by the dog on it’s lead, and I’ve noticed a pattern of when he walks it so avoid those times now. I don’t trust him to be able to stop the dog should it want to attack.

Frank, the nicest dogs we see on walks are Alsations. We see quite a few and they’re such gentle souls. I’d have one tomorrow, they’re my favourite pedigree dogs.

Back in the early 90s we lived in a flat and our downstairs neighbours had the devil dog of the day, a Rottweiler. I spent a lot of time in their flat as I was good friends with the woman and would quite often babysit for her as they had a toddler too. That dog was so gentle, I don’t think he had a nasty bone in his body. Obviously they were very careful with it, having Daniel toddling around, but then you would be with any dog and a child.
