I am a sucker for all things Disney  - I'm still :o that Ally's not heard of it though

Hakuna Matata ;)

I googled it and never realised it was actually about a king lion!

But then you are talking of someone who has never watched a Disney movie in her life.

Or the Sound of Music.

Or that other one with her with the red shoes (the name escapes me)

Actually...I haven't watched that many films in my life when I think about it! :o

It had to be done....

That was my favourite movie when it came out. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen it. I definitely got to the point where I could recite huge parts of the script.

I seen the stage show twice (3x?), at Melbourne, Sydney and maybe London. But then I was the right age when it came out.

I can't wait till Oliver is a little less sensitive, I think the scene where his dad dies will be too much for him at the moment.

Generally I really don't like Disney, but every rule has its exception.

Oh wow! That's amazing Weka!

The Wizard Of Oz, Ally? Is that the red shoes one you're talking about? I love that movie!

Mamma Mia is a film that loads of people rave about and I've never seen it.

Having said that though I don't watch many. John and Joe love films but it's very rare that I sit to watch one. I've just worked out that it's over 5 years since I last went to the pictures - John and Joe go every month.

I did watch a really good one on the flight though (because there was nothing else to do but watch films and TV for 11 hours) and that was Sing Street. That's actually one I could watch again.

I absolutely LOVE Mamma Mia, but then I'm a big Abba fan :P

I'm not huge on Disney, a bit too schmaltzy for me, although I do like some of the older hand drawn ones :)

I first saw that when I was little Ally, and I thought it was magical. It changes from black and white to colour which amazed me back then

So this thread has basically gone form Ally getting her walking boots on to Dorothy's ruby slippers

Ally, you know the phrase "friend of Dorothy"? The Wizard of Oz is sort of where it came from because of Judy Garland (Dorothy) being a gay icon
