Antonia rang earlier - we were out in Ourique.

He was taken off the life support yesterday and is holding his own

Still in a coma, as she put it, but his heart has stabilized.

Thje doctors have said that he needs stimulation, people talking to him, reading, playing music, so Antonia is on her way tot he hospital now.

She will ring me again either later today or tomorrow.

And she said thank you to everyone who is rooting for him.

Antonia has just rung again.

He responded to her voice - well, he would, he's totally besotted by her - and the docs are very happy that he made such a good response. His heart is looking good and they are very pleased with him. Her words.

She's coming back tonight, but will go up again tomorrow. A four hour round drive

100% agree Jan and I do hope this does make him realise it for himself as well. He has and will have so much support from so many people but at the end of the day it needs to come from him as well. But he can do it!
