I really really do hope that he does come home or you have some news soon, and dare I say be it good or bad news. It's the not knowing that's just the worst

So sorry Gal, and like Ria I hope you have some kind of news just to put your mind at rest.

Thank you xx

It's just so out of character for him and I know if he could, he'd come home right away. It's so hard.

Gal, I know how heartbreaking this is because I have been there. I have to say, though, to try what Ria suggested. You and Tom go out in the early hours with maybe his favourite noisy toy and some nibbles and do the 'pst, pst Smudge' thing.

If that does not work then you might have to accept that he has gone.

Honestly, I do feel for all of you.

Thanks all...I think I am starting to accept he won't be coming home, even though I can't put his food bowls away just yet.

Yesterday I managed to contact the company who were doing some buildng work at a house opposite. It's a local firm, next village, and the lad, Lee phoned me back and suggested if I text him a picture of Smudge, he'd put it on his business FB page - he has a lot of followers and he said some of them might live in my village! Wasn't that kind? I got quite emotional, mind you, that's all too easy atm :(

As you have all said, it's the not knowing, and this awful weather we are meant to be having soon - the thought of him being out in that is horrific, he doesn't like rain.

Even if I get SOME news, even if it's the worst....I'd rather just know.

I just miss him soooo much, his warm furry body to cuddle, his cat smell, his beautiful big green eyes....even his scratching the furniture to let me know he wants to go out! I'd give ANYTHING to have him home.
