Lovely and hot here too :D
I went for shopping, just into the village, so much easier than fighting the traffic in town.
Locked the back door of course, got back and had forgotten the French window was wide open
Not terribly dangerous, in our walled garden, but still not something I'd do on purpose :D

Our back door in the kitchen is a French window. One night a few months ago Billy woke me to go out at around 2am which is rare for him so, half asleep, I took him downstairs and let him out. When I got up the following morning the kitchen felt a bit draughty as I walked in - I'd left the door wide open when Bill came back in 5 hours earlier. Like you we have a walled garden and have a 6ft gate which is locked but still :?

Shut that door!

A 'To Let' sign has gone up for the flat below. S&A need a bigger place as the children grow, and they are totally peed of with the landlord.

I will be sad to lose them as they have been good neighbours and I await with trepidation on the new arrivals. The landlord is not very picky about who he takes on and my landlord (a lawyer) has had to take steps to get some of his less desirable tenants moved out.

Really hope that you get decent neighbours Frank, it's always a worry when good ones decide to move on.
