I've always felt a bit bad for Joe that he sort of shares a name with me. People may either think it's egotistical or unimaginative and I've heard people say that it's a shame for children named after someone because they need a name of their own. It was none of that though, Joe was the only name which suited him after over a week of trying many out.
However, I dont feel quite so bad now after he's just told me that his friend Jack's mother is called Jackie

It is sooo hot here - so why are so many tourists walking round with burnt shoulders, backs and chests??!!

Have they not heard of sun factor?!! :?

I'm in a chiringuito right now and right across from me is a man with a very, very burnt neck. :(

Harry burnt a little in Majorca, through copious amounts of Factor 50!! This is despite him NEVER burning before - I think it's exceptional this summer? Especially coming from ours, I am the palest this year that I've been in ages

Having said all that, some people are just eejits and let themselves burn rather than bother! ;)

Just to put the first of B's washing out now Saundra, it's getting late but so very warm and blowy I think it will dry before dark!

Talking of sunburn ^^ B's forehead is shocking, despite wearing factor 50 out at sea on that whale watch trip - she's already put a thick layer of E45 on to soften it a bit and now some aloe vera, but her skin's just sucked it up like a sponge!

When we moved, we pinched some babies off the big aole vera we had . three have taken really well, a couple aren't  but a friend used to pinch bits off, as her daughter has a very badly burnt and withered arm, and that seemed to be the only thing that would help.
