Ally and Kaz, don't we just?

John keeps apologising. He'll say he's sorry and I ask what for, he replies with "my Mom". He even apologised to Shannon about her before they all went to see her in the Summer, she'd not met her before

I'm so sick of Staffies. Bill's been attacked by yet another this afternoon. It was being walked by an elderly man with a walking stick so he couldn't move very quickly to stop it. It ran quite a distance to get to us. I've never done this before, but I kicked the dog a couple of times to try to get it off him. The man eventually used the bent handle of his stick through it's collar to hook the dog away.

Thankfully Bill's strong and he's quick on his feet but a smaller or older dog would've been killed I'm sure. Even so, he's been bitten around his neck :( :x

Blyddy hell Jo

My dad has a couple of staffies, One was fine, the other was a complete pain.

It's what stop me from walking here - not staffies, but the local raffeiros - guarding the sheep. And then also strays. Everyone I know, with a dog, takes a a stick or two - no fun in that

I was furious with the man. He couldn't control the dog, he had no chance of doing so.

Staffies are a big problem around here, the local rescue centres are full of them. That was why we ended up going all the way over to Shrewsbury when we got Billy, we didn't want a Staffy but that was all there was really :? I'm not sure if it's a national scheme or just specific to around here because of the sheer numbers but I remember seeing a sign in the vets a year or two back which said that they don't charge to neuter Staffies.

Poor Billy - so horrid for him :(

Problem really though is the owners. Staffies with the right owner and right training are amazing dogs, but they are strong animals and faster and have more endurance than most people give them credit for.
My neighbours have an ancient old staffie female, as sweet as anything and even she isn't walked unless on the leash at all times

But I have an issue regardless of where you are about people having their dogs off the lead. I know they need to run around etc, but where I live we've had so many issues with dogs running off chasing ducks or swans by the lakes, chasing smaller dogs etc and the owners just don't give a toss. And the number of people that think it's OK to have their dog on a long extending lead and then merrily walk 1/2 way up my front garden before they pull them back - drives me batty!
