I've got an ouchie! There's a small part of the woods where the path is difficult to negotiate due to holly trees and brambles growing close together and blocking the path. I moved a branch to get through and a bramble came with it and scraped across my face :( It's a good thing I didn't see anyone else for the rest of the walk as it was bleeding. I've put some Germolene on it.

Dangerous business, dog walking! Hope it doesn't hurt too much Jo.

Oh dear, Jo, the curse of the brambley branch ..... up to date with your tetanus?

It's been cold, cold, cold down here the last 24 hours. Walking into town today, everyone was grouchy, none of the usual countryside "hello"s or "mornin'"s .....

The pharmacy around the corner is so convenient but the service has gone downhill since Mark, the pharmacist who opened it, left. I went around first thing to get Joe's tablets and firstly they couldn't find them (again) and then when they finally located them they couldn't hand them over because the pharmacist was late for work - that's the second time that's happened when I've gone in recently, I'm just one customer going in once a month so how often is that happening to others?
It's less convenient but I'm going to start having our prescriptions sent to Boots in town.

Three attempts Jo, for me, the time before last, to get my skin gel, and twice last time - but only because I got assertive or that would have been the same  Did I mention the lady, just before Christmas, who'd been waiting ages because they didn't have her chemo tablets  Skin gel is pretty trivial, but that was horrendous :(

Best pharmacy in the world at the doctor's surgery. Two pharmacists on duty, one always available, plus at least four qualified pharmacy technicians/assistants - all with name tags and qualifications: MPharm; GPhC Tech or BTEC/NVQ A Pharm.

All of them pleasant and helpful. Opens eight till late Mon to Sat and ten till four on Sundays.
