That's 5 fires we've lit today

2 are still smouldering, but they'll be okay - will probably smoulder for a couple of days - they were rather large

But Jose Felipe is coming round in about an hour and will advise us on what needs to be done. One oak, I think, can go and also we'll cut down the other mimosa - the leaves burn like a christmas tree

It seems a bit of a shame Jan, to have to chop down trees, but totally understandable with the fire risk :(

Jose Felipe said that we don't have to cut any of our trees :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

We are classed as farm land, as he puts his sheep on the bottom field and as we have gravel and very short grass (weeds   ) then we don't have to worry.

Our mimosa tree can also stay, but when we told him how we didn't like it flaming up so quickly, he said that's okay, we can get shot of it.

A huge relief for us.

And as he works for the local council, he knows what he's talking about.

The farm land around us is normally cleared every 2,3 or 4 years. But a lot of people are now doing it early .

Just need Antonio to clear next door, but he did it 2 years ago, so may not.

And prat next door - we found out today he owns the piece of land that we and Judy and Carlos use as our access - it is so over grown, we can't see what's coming up or down the track.

that man is in for a big shock and fine 8-) 8-) 8-)

Tom's cleaning his car.
Every time he comes in to refill his bucket and then goes back out again he leaves the door wide open

Blimey! I scrolled past a post on Facebook from a news site, about a 79 year old woman being arrested for murdering a man and it's just appeared again on a local page. It's on the estate on the other side of the main road :o

And I'm back with another Nationwide update.
Man last week said that Joe's card had been reordered by him and that and the PIN would take 3-5 working days to arrive, with today being the 5th working day.
Post has been, there's still nothing from Nationwide so I'm back on the phone again (32 mins so far) and we've been told that no order for a replacement card and PIN had been placed last week
