I'm staying inside, it's cooler. Although we get a little breeze every now and then 8-)

The wasps are loving the pool :cute: :cute:

The big fire is in the Monchique and there are over 700 fire fighters, with 10 aircraft. But it's hilly, there aren't many tracks/roads, so very difficult for access. Ther are already requests for water, socks, snack bars etc for the fire fighters.

We'll do our bit next week.

Wowser

That was thunderstorm and a half    Hail, wind, shed loads of rain :Hi: :Hi:

It's heading down south, so hopefully will help with the fire effort. One part is just about under control :D

Sadly, one of my lovely Portuguese urns was blown off the terrace and was smashed into three large pieces, so I'll use that for cactus, in the new part of the garden, when we get that sorted.

Still blinkin' hot though

Well that was a waste of a nice steak.

Thinly sliced with a few button mushrooms and sliced onion it was cooked in a jiffy with oyster sauce. Then the straight to wok noodles went in with a splash of soy.

I sat down to eat and nearly threw up. I had the noodles in since whenever and the oil they were coated in had gone rancid.

I always knew I should have run a guest house!

Conor stayed over Friday night.

Jacob stayed over last night. There are 2 pairs of trainers by the front door that don't belong to any resident living here so I'm guessing Jacob has 2 mates also stopping over....or a friend with 4 feet!

Ah yes! Have you had the phone calls?

"Is Jason at your place?"

So you go to the room and find three or four crashed on duvets and cushions on the floor. :o

"You lot!. Up and phone your parents, do it NOW!"
