It's not been too bad round here, Jo, but the shops were still selling f'works on Tuesday!

Those that go 'whizz' or 'pop' are not that bad, but every so often there is a big explosion..... and they are usually after a quiet period when you think it's all over.

It doesn't touch him unfortunately, someone's recommended something which works for her dog called Kalm Aid. Her vet advised her to get it for him and it's helped him a lot so I'll be getting some ready for New Year. Last night was the first night that we haven't heard any though thankfully.

Yep, that's the ones!
There's a bit of an uproar around here because it's the Christmas lights switch on in Cannock on Friday and *shock horror* there aren't going to be any fireworks because the council can't afford them.
Basically, it seems to have ruined Christmas for so many people if Facebook is anything to go by
I'm glad, we're two miles away but still hear them here.

John's Mom never fails.
Tom was due to do work experience at his old school Mon-Wed this week but it's been postponed so he decided to visit his Nan. John rang her on Sunday night and mentioned it to her and the first thing she said was "Oh good, he can take me to physio on Tuesday, it'll save me paying £20 for a taxi", not a word about how nice it'll be to see him or the fact that he's making a 300 mile round trip to see her.
