I ordered two last week. I always order my mom's prescription (which is another story - or two - altogether) and I ordered Joe's too. As neither us or my parents have had much luck with pharmacies actually receiving the prescriptions I contacted the doctors to see if it's possible to collect them at the surgery on the estate. Yep, no problem there. I'd already told my Mom that I'd collect her prescription and run it into Tesco when I did the shopping and then they could collect it when they shopped.
I had an email on Monday saying that they'd be ready in two working days.
I walked around to collect them yesterday and was told that my Mom's hadn't been done by that point and there was a query with Joe's and someone would call me, which they did a short while later.
They wanted to know why I'd ordered folic acid for myself when it's not on my repeat. Eh? I hadn't put in a request for myself. The folic acid I'd requested was for Joe, his consultant prescribed it. I checked the emails I'd sent while on the phone and sure enough, there was Joe's name, address and DOB along with the repeat request for penicillin and folic acid. For some reason they'd made up prescriptions for both in my name. No problem the lady said, we'll get it made for Joe instead and someone would take it to the surgery on the estate, and it'd be there today.
Off I went to collect them again this lunchtime. It turned out that my Mom's had been done after all and had been sent to the Lloyds pharmacy they've had problems with, so whether they've received it we'll find out tomorrow when they go to collect it but she only has enough of her meds for Saturday and Sunday. I was given Joe's and also two for myself which I hadn't requested, they were the ones made out for me instead of Joe (no problem, it saves me ordering one in the next week for my own penicillin but I now also have one for folic acid
