It is :( I don't know if it's the same everywhere but there seems to be far too many fatal accidents around here. I always think of our lovely old neighbours at this time of year as they lost their 21 year old grandson in one around 10 years ago.

Do you remember Goldie? From both Femail and VV? Her son died in a car crash just after he passed his test, I don't think she ever recovered from that :( I think he was 17 :(

Kaz, poor Goldie (Diane). Her son and my son were the same age and in touch with each other. After the crash Goldie sent me some photos to crop and improve so that she could, I don't know, make a shrine.

She never recovered and just withered away with a broken heart. Ever so sad. :cry: :cry: :cry:

I was quite close to her at one time, we met up a couple of times. It was all very sad :( xx

Yes I meana the English Kaz, who have lived here permanently for many years, without getting a residência, which you are supposed to, to legally live here. So many people we know have said that they "live under the radar", by not having a Portuguese bank account, paying all bills by cash and having an English address for pensions, having the winter fuel allowance etc.
