Postal delivery this morning of a card saying they couldn't deliver a letter because of insufficient postage. So off to the Royal Mail depot in town, where after much searching they found the errant article - an elderly acquaintance of Mrs O had put a green 2p stamp on a card instead of a blue 2nd class one …..

Should have gone to Specsavers - it cost me £1.50 in excess postage to pick it up! :cute: :D

Some of our trees have begun to bud up but the cold snap we are forecast might put an end to that game.

We've actually got a couple of crocuses in bud bottom of our back garden ..... 8-)

Sorry Tom, but mum is right.

Dropping water on frozen ground is not the best idea ever invented: see Physics 101 for more details. Now get some soup down you... and smile. ;)

He wasn’t blessed with common sense, I did - jokingly - say to John last night that he’d probably be cleaning his car today.

So annoyed, he’s been out for an hour and just come back. I could hear him creeping around while I was upstairs putting washing away and I’ve just looked out and he’s cleaning his car.

I'd be majorly p*ssed off Jo. You specifically asked him to not do it and still he did.... that's a blatent disregard of your request and total disrespect to you (imho)

Have to agree with Ria on this one.

And why on earth would you want to wash a car in the weather you've got??

Yes ria is right but I didn't like to say we are all different and if it was my boys I would scream and yell at them and probably pack his bag but that's me
