Sad Café for me. Went to see them in Bristol

I was brought up on Jazz-Blues such as The Duke, Ella, Nat K-C, The Count etc. and that took me to Ska, Blue Beat, Rock-steady and Reggae then Soul, Motown and Philly.

They were in decline by the early 70s and were being overtaken by the most horrible music ever - Disco. That was until the 80s and the desert years.


Off to listen to some Northern Soul. Neighbours are out so I can turn it up LOUD!

I saw a Valentine's Day wedding this afternoon when I was walking Billy, it was at the wedding venue at the hotel our neighbour owns down the lane. They were having photographs taken outside the old farmhouse which houses the venue and it's only a few yards off the footpath so I got a good view, they couldn't have wished for better weather!
