He'll be fine, thanks Kaz. As long as you have an appointment, it will be back dated. Our nice neighbours residência runs out this month and their appointment is August

Our 10 year one runs out in 2021, so I'll try and schedule an appointment beforehand.

Similar with our driving licences. The temporary one runs out in May and we have to get it renewed, until the proper one turns up. Jan, from down the road, waited 8 months for hers

Also need to renew our passports, as they run out in December, possibly on-line, but need photos.

I'm wondering if John's had any more texts from Xana, the Portuguese lady who he works with. She, her husband and their son flew to LA on Saturday and for months she's continually asked John questions. He had to help her book the flights, she's sent him links to hotels, last week she was panicking about how they'll get to the hotel from the airport and what if she needs change for the taxi fare, should she buy something in arrivals so she has some change? If so, what should she buy. And what shops are there to buy something from. It's been continual. It's driven him crazy.

Saturday morning at 6.50am she texted John, which woke him, to ask if she can take her curling tongs on the plane. At 9.30am another text came asking if she can take her hairspray. It's not as if she doesn't fly often as she visits family back home regularly and it's not like she's a young kid and all of this is new to her - she's 51
