2 more planes have arrived.

It is a fire that was supposed to be controlled burning, but has got out of hand.

Why oh why would some-one try to do this when it's so windy

Whoever it is will be hit with a very hefty fine.

We went down to the bar - always get some good gossip. <it's far enough away not to bother us, although we have a hint of smoke. The wind is blowing it away from us, thankfully.

Some prat of a German decided to clean his land by burning, which is normal here. BUT you do not do it when you have gusts of wind up to 50km

Gez was evacuated, Dimas has a lot of land burnt

When we were in the bar, a couple of bombeiros came in for water, so I bought them that and a couple of beers too

It now looks as if it's going to burn for a long time

I do wish I knew how to put photos on

Keep trying to import and I'm being told that I have nothing connected.

Jan, a quick way.

Connect your camera / phone to the laptop with a cable. Find it in Windows explorer / My Computer then find the photos and copy & paste them to the desktop.

Open notepad and type in the main part of your post

Go here https://postimages.org/ Where you see 'Do not resize my image' click the dropdown and choose 640 x 480 (for message boards). then click Choose Images. When your pic uploads from the desktop look for and copy what appears next to Direct link: It will look something like https://i.postimg.cc/gcQQVM8x/My-image.jpg.

Paste that into Notepad - do it for all pics.

Now copy and paste everything in Notepad to the VV posting form, but then do this....
Highlight a link then click the [Img] button from the list on the top of the posting form. Do it for all then. Submit as usual. The images will appear on VV. Magic.

For example, before you post is should look something like this in the panel below.
