Yes, Saundra, I'm not a member but I browse the town's community Facebook page, and about 90% of the pictures were missing earlier on this evening; the blank space just said "1 person and 1 car" or similar - but it's now come right!

What was weird, I'd left the lilo in the pool. Must have been windy - it was by the side of the pool

Big ruckus on the back lawn today - we had two green woodpeckers fighting each other for territorial rights, a right punch-up!

It started at one end of the lawn and proceeded with much chasing, wing-waving and beak-stabbing right across to the other side, where one 'pecker, having obviously had enough, disappeared rapidly over the back fence.

The triumphant Woody then bounced back across the lawn looking to all intents and purposes like a prize-fighter milking the crowd's applause!

And after he left, the local blackbirds cautiously reappeared, with a definite air of "What the 'eck was THAT all about?"

In other local news, it is reported on the town's FB page that a pet tortoise has twice this week escaped from its home over in Peasemarsh and on both occasions was rounded up whilst making a determined attempt to access the neighbourhood Co-op ....
