Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 18 Jun 2016, 05:23

Good morning. :D

Hot! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Being picked up by David at 9am and we're off yomping in the Malaga mountains. :D :D

The route is roughly 20kms and shaded for large chunks of it which will be rather nice in this heat!
I'm really looking forward to it. :D :D

Meeting up with a couple of friends tonight for a few beers and going to the Thai restaurant. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally and everyone

Lovely morning, apart from that chilly breeze  :D :D

Enjoy your yomp Ally x

A fairly relaxing day today, I think, after all the running around the last few days - and the late nights and vast amounts of alcohol

I'll go down to the veggie patch later and pick some veg for dinner :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: The tomatoes are sooo sweet, lovely flavour.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally, have a great climb!! Looking forward to those pics! :D 8-)

Morning Ton, hope you get your nice quiet day 8-)

Morning all :) Bit disappointed with our weather, the forecast was good for today but it looks very grey and dull :? At least if the rain keeps off, that will be something  B had her leaving meal with work last night, her friend Grace stayed the night as she lives in the Forest of Dean and it's not easy to get there by public transport at night. I said she was welcome to use H's room. Neither of them have surfaced yet, so I think they had a good night  We're out for lunch later, then round to see D and also the inlaws who are up this weekend. I was going to the zumba demo at Hucclecote Show today, but J has tons of volunteers so I'm not going after all, it would have meant rushing lunch and not seeing the family.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Afternoon all, clouded over now after a sunny start. I've been to the shops and post office, bumped into Miss Osc and Kellie there which was nice. Then I went for a walk on the pier, we've had our lunch and now settled down for the Ireland -v- Belgium match, fingers crossed for a good result but Mr Osc is not hopeful :( Might do some ironing later. Roast chicken for dinner :)

Afternoon all.

Hope the walk was good Ally. Kaz, I hope the Lunch was good.

I was with my BIL last night, had a good meal started with fizzy graduated to wine and finished the night with several Whisky's so Mr Solpadene was required to clear the headache this morning.

My niece came over too and we arranged to go out and bag a few Munro's tomorrow and I can get her to familiarise herself with the maps, the lie of the land and using a compass. I bought a prismatic compass Thursday and they'd more than halved the price so I bought a second one for her. Excellent for taking bearings, not so good for following when walking on the ground.

My boots I'd ordered still have not arrived at the Mountain Warehouse so I went into Trespass today and bought a better pair for £10 more. I'll probably send the MW one's back.

Now off to tear the bike apart and get it fixed. Then a lot of packing for tomorrow so I'm ready to head out. I won't have the tent on my back tomorrow or half as much stuff so it should be a LOT easier on the way up.

#1 son wanted me to come up to Tomintoul for Fathers Day tomorrow but I'd already issued the invite to walk so I'm going walking. I was speaking to his fiancée today and I extended the invite for them to come too. I'll see if he wants to come.

Enjoy the rest of the day all.

Ton...chilly breeze?! In June?

Osc..Don & Conor are not happy bunnies. :?

It was a great yomp thanks all. :D :D

Just under 19kms. A few shaded parts but we were factored up so protected from the sun. :D :D

David & I got back about 4 o'clock and staggered into Pedro's for a couple of cold beers. :D :D

We're meeting some other friends later for a drink and a Thai meal and David is going to join us too. :D :D

Oh well done Ally!!!! You deserve those beers! :D

Enjoy your walking tomorrow Suff :)

Sorry about the footie Osc, you too Ally, hope the boys cheer up later ;)

Saundra I missed the live landing, but from the news reports all went well - always a relief to see them safely back on Earth :) xx

Well the morning stayed gloomy, but the sun came out mid afternoon and has stayed out, so not too bad after all :) 8-) We've had a pleasant day so far, we gave B's friend a lift to the Quays with us and invited her to join us for a bite of lunch as she wasn't in work until 1pm, Then we went into the shops there, looking for a new rain jacket for me, which was very successful (see the Boutique board) then over to D's to see the family for a cuppa and a chat :D I've just cooked pork and apple sausages for Mick and B (I don't eat pork) and I'm having a bit of cheese and some fruit :) Looking forward to a relaxing evening, might get my kindle out shortly 8-)

Yes, daft in'it?? We're supposed to be in the hottest place in Portugal, for summers, but this wind

But, we're on top of a hill, which will be lovely, when eventually it does get hot.

In saying that, a friend was saying how hot it was yesterday and I'm sat there in jeans, thick t-shirt    and thinking, nope, 27C is not hot
