Hi again, sorry I've not been about much lately - I managed to wangle Saturday morning off work and Tom took Thursday and Friday annual leave and we headed up to the caravan!! (it still feels dead weird saying that!!) so we were there for three night and four days 8-)

The forecast was poor, but amazingly on Friday the sun came out and it was HOT!!! We went for some lovely walks and paddled in the sea...it's been so lovely. Slight downside is Tom isn't well - he's got an awful wheezy chesty cough, he went to the GP last week and she said to return if it was still there in FOUR WEEKS!!! Its awful it maes him sick at times....but that aside we did have a lovely weekend 8-) The van is really starting to feel like a second home now - we have put some personal nick nacks up and photos etc, and of course the bedding etc is our own. Still a long way to go but we are getting there.

Hope everyone is well - just about to have a scoot round the boards!

It sounds lovely Gal, it would be nice to have somewhere to go to for just a few days away; but would be a logistical nightmare for me with the cats - but maybe one day :D

Re Tom, don't laugh at this one, but ask him to try antihistamines for a few weeks and see if that makes a difference; could well be that he's got some form of hayfever / allergy that's resulting in him coughing. My sister had something similar a few years back and endless visits to the GP and meds etc - they eventually figured out that she needed antihistamines. They're cheap enough to buy over the counter and won't harm him if they make no difference x

Is T on BP meds at all? Mick's first ones made him cough terribly, until they changed them :? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

No he's not on any meds at all - I think he should have steroids, as they were the only thing that 'cured' him last time. I've taken a sample of what he's coughing up to the GP for tests today so this will show whatever it is.

Thanks for the tip re anti-histamines Ria, shall mention that :) xx
