I parked in the multi-storey and went off a shopping, as you do.

When I got into the car park lift the young couple in front pressed a button and off we went. Came out of the lift and there it was: gone! So whilst I am walking up and down to make sure it really was missing I am thinking: 'Go to the office and check the CCTV to see when it left', that should help the police.

However, it is always best to check other floors, isn't it? It sure is!!!

I could have made a right fool of myself.

Oh I'm sure you must be.

I have to make a mental note of which direction I've parked in and the nearest shop or a marker to remind me where I have parked the car - many's the time I've gone into a mild panic thinking I have had it stolen.....

Occasionally if we're passing Tesco I'll run in for an item or two while John waits on the car park...I'm so glad that his new car is larger and bright red so that I can locate it when I come down the stairs from the supermarket and can then walk in the right direction

I did that yesterday too, came out of the mall and walked the half flight of stairs up instead of down. Walked to where my car should have been, which was only 3 car parks down and went hang on..... Oh it must be on the other level and sure enough.
