Good morning. :D

It's Assumption Day so a public holiday - everything is closed except bars.

A swim then coffee and reading on the terrace. :D :D

Meeting David later for a drink - he whatsapped a photo of an intriguingly shaped wrapped birthday gift for me and seems very excited for me to open it tonight!

Have a great day everyone. :D

Good morning! It's sunny here!

I need to mow the lawns today but Billy needs a walk first, those squirrels and bunnies aren't going to chase theirselves! Joe's off to the gym in a minute and out with his friends later, Tom's going into work to help set everything up before the refurbished restaurant reopens tomorrow.

Ally, I'm intrigued about David's gift now!

Have a good day!

He wants me to open it tonight as I won't see him tomorrow - normally I don't like doing that but he seems very keen for me to see what's he's bought me.

I bet it's got something to do with yomping... 8-)

Morning all :)

Just typed a long reply when my laptop decided to restart itself, so I lost it     So here we go again ;)

Ally I wonder what that pressie is? I'm intrigued too :geek: 8-)

Have a good day Jo, I hope the reopening goes well for Tom, at work tomorrow :)

Well it looks like another bright and sunny day, although I've noticed there is a chill to the early mornings lately! The blackberries are ripening in the hedgerows, and I picked an apple off D's lawn the other day, so autumn is on its way  Monday again, so WW this morning, then into town with Emma afterwards I expect - I enjoy our little Monday jaunts, she is good company :) Hoping for more good news on the scales this week, but we'll see :cute:

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

We had a lovely afternoon with mother on Saturday, she was more confused but very happy and that's the main thing. Must admit the drive was exhausting, 4.5hrs to get there and another 4hr drive coming home yesterday.

What a fantastic day for us in Rio, woke up to even more medals. Oh and Usain Bolt, what a superman 8-) We're in Olympic heaven here :D :D :D

Terry's busy working outside and Steve's continuing with the structural stuff in the kitchen. We need to hang around until lunch time as the fitter doing our bedroom blinds is coming to take final measurements. Then we'll be off out to find somewhere for lunch, no cooker for the next week or so. Oh and the boiler's been turned off while they fit new radiators. Eating in is definitely not happening for the time being

Hope you all have a good day :D

jen x

Morning everyone

Hazy over them that mountains, it'll be hot again later on.

Grumpy has just given the car the once over and clean, ready for tomorrows guests ;) I'm doing the same with the house and generally moving ourselves into the smaller bedroom.

Good luck a WW Kaz x

Jen, it's a pain in the rear, eating out every day, but make the most of the not washing up bit ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning everyone.

I'm a bit slow and a bit late today as I watched Murray win his match last night...

Ally, enjoy the present. I'm sure you'll love it.
Jen, the driving is a pain but if it's worth it then that's all that matters. On the cooking front have you considered one of these, or one of these and one of these??

I know it's all cost, but so is eating out and they have uses even after the renovations are done. I know this because we use them a fair amount when our kitchen is in disarray. Or, as happened recently, the timer died on our Beko Oven and it took me a fortnight to get a replacement timer and fit it. Plus Mrs S likes to use the separate induction for making jam as it frees the cooker and allows it to be done somewhere outside of the kitchen which his a requirement when it's over 40c.

Off to work then heading to #1 son's so he can show off his motorcycle and his new driving license.

Have a great day all.

Morning all, lovely and sunny here so I will definitely make some time to sit out in it. We had a good weekend in Blackpool although Mr Osc ate something that didn't agree with him and we had to leave the Saturday night dance early to get him back to our b&b (thankfully a short walk away) where he had an uncomfortable couple of hours. However all was well when we got up yesterday for the journey home. First time in a different b&b which was very successful.

I unpacked everything when we got home yesterday so just general tidying up today, Mr Osc is just about to go and play golf. He bought me a new camera at Dublin Airport on Friday so I'll play around with that for a while, otherwise no plans. Have a good day everyone :)
