More money

Postby tonicha » 15 Aug 2016, 14:20

to be spent

We've been thinking for a long time about making the car port into an en-suite bedroom - so as soon as Heldar comes up with "hoooow much?" we'll go ahead. Shouldn't have any problem with planning, as it's already part of the build and it shouldn't take too long or cost too much, as it''s already got a roof and two and a half walls.

The one reason I wasn't keen on viewing this house to begin with was that it only has one bathroom - and when you're used to two, then problem! But when it's only us 2, no worries.

Heldar will pop up sometime this week, to give us an idea of price and we'll fit in with him - we aren't in any rush.

Apart from if we get a very special visitor next year ;)

I really really miss my ensuite. Hope the hooooow much isn't followed by the recession of hair.

(My deli FIL tells me that's why they all have big ears and a receding hairline ).

I couldn't manage without two bathrooms now. In fact we've booked two hotel rooms for when we go on holiday - one for me and John and one for the kids - rather than a family room because there's no way we'd get through even a day without killing someone if we were sharing just one bathroom.

We've got 5 loos and showers  and believe me, when the boys lived at home and their friends were forever popping in, it was known on at least one occasion for them all to be used at the same time! :o :o

You know Ally, people say how bad girls are for hogging bathrooms but, from experience, I'd hazard a guess that teenage boys are just as bad. Our two certainly are anyway, and the smellies that they use take the skin off your eyeballs - I smell that stuff in the kitchen when they're spraying it two floors above me

I am in full agreement Jo!

I used to be able to tell when Jacob was getting ready to go out by the various smellies smell and he was 2 floors above me.

  I would agree with this - last time H stayed he used our en suite shower, as he prefers the cubicle in there to the shower in the family bathroom. Well, the fog of steam, wet towels and cloud of Lynx afterwards! Eye-watering!     I wouldn't want five showers to clean Ally ;)

We have three loos, so since B went away we have one each, and one left over :P ;)
