I got a shock when I went in their lightening department!

Sorry Saundra.

The saddest thing is that this did not need to happen. If it was not for the greed of one man BHS would still be with us. I feel desperately sorry for those who worked there and through no fault of their own find themselves on the dole where they will be treated like scroungers.

Totally agree with Frank. This is all down to the greed of that one person. It's so sad for the workers. It's not somewhere I've shopped for a long time but I know a lot of people will miss it (just as I still miss Woolies) :(

I had the best pair of pixie boots ever from BHS on New St back in 1981 :D How I loved those boots!

One of our patients at work is one such person Frank - she was in the other week, saying she's been working there for just short of 20 years, since the Durham store opened, and now she is 'signing on' - she's worked all her life, mid 50s, and she's never had to do this before :(

So sad.
