Good morning, it's a wet one here!

We're off shortly to take Tom to Heathrow for his New York flight. I'm worrying about anything and everything happening - wouldn't cross my mind if it was me of course! He'll be fine, he'll be fine...keep saying that to myself and I might believe it eventually

Enjoy the yomp Ally!

Have a good one all!

Morning all

Of course you'll worry Jo - but as you say; he'll be fine and have a fantastic time. And before you know it you'll be driving along the motorway again to pick him up - the time will fly by :D

Ally enjoy the yomp and the well deserved beers later today
Ton enjoy your day in the garden
Saundra and Vic, hope you have a lovely day as well

I can't believe mom leaves tomorrow already the time has flown by. We've got one more thing to fit in today - scones with clotted cream and jam. Scones she can make, jam she can buy (or make) but clotted cream is one thing you don't get in Germany so it's one of the things we always have when she's here as she absolutely loves them; and they're not quite the same with regular cream. Given that the weather is rather miserable - just started raining and they're expecting it to last more or less all day so we'll probably head to a garden centre later today for said scones. Don't think we'll be doing much else at all today. Mom wants to get started on the packing and I can do some bits and bobs in the house.

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

Morning all

I think I've just about recovered from Friday. It was very busy with blood tests for me, Drs for Oliver, half day off school for both as the teachers were having a stop work meeting over funding, recorder lesson for missy, soccer prize giving for buddy, and all the while trying to sort out airfreight from China!

Today is family Father's Day. We long ago gave up trying to have family day on fathers and Mother's Day, there were too many external pressures on us from our extended families. Seriously, it's as bad as that naughty c word, so we now have it the week after. Except this weekends really busy for Sasha.

So Geoff got bacon, eggs and baked beans for breakfast in bed, then we dropped Sasha off at a birthday party, and we went to the lumber yard, then picked her up and packed her bag for the night as she has a slumber party for brownies. So I dropped her off and Oliver and Geoff played the wii. (Good for Oliver with balance and coordination)

Then we had a half disaster dinner (never buying a Beetroot risotto ready meal) so then I introduced Oliver to McD's drive through for ice cream sundaes. In his words "this is the best day ever" lol.
I think the concept of drive through blew his little mind. Lol

Jo, I'm sure Tom will have a fab and safe time, and I'm certain that all the times you have taken in off galavanting will help keep him safe. Hugs and vibes for the next week though.

We have just had a real polar blast come though over the last couple of days, so very interesting to read you have a blast of hot weather. I always think we are almost the exact opposite. Sorry, but it's getting back to spring here now, and it's looking like and early spring too.

Tomorrow Geoff wants to take Oliver to see his old RC car club, we pick Sasha up in the afternoon, then we will finish family Father's Day with a nice dinner.

Enjoy your yomp Ally, I wish I had your energy.

Morning all :)

Weka you do sound busy, bless Oliver that made me  !

Have a good yomp Ally :D

Have a good day Ton :D

((((Jo))) I'm like that every time B goes away, but he will be fine xxxxx

Ria, I'm so glad you've had a lovely time with your mom, I've enjoyed the photos on FB :) ((((Hugs))))) as you will miss her xxx

Morning Vic :)

We have rain Saundra, hope it brightens up for you later xx

Well, as said, it's raining! Pouring in fact, but we carry on regardless   Mick has just popped out to pick up a part he needs to replace on the car, then the three of us (yayyyy) will be out for lunch later, then round to see D this afternoon. She's off to Ireland tomorrow, a five day tour of Southern Ireland, including Cork and Bantry (sp?) Bay ending with a night in Dublin. They are going by coach and ferry, lots of travelling, so I hope she'll be ok after this horrid bout of tooth trouble :?

Have a lovely day everyone :) Hugs for any poorlies ((((((x))))))

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here.

Natural for you to feel a bit anxious Jo, but I'm sure Tom will have a wonderful week, the time will flash by.

Enjoy the yomp Ally.

We've had a little lie in this morning, Peter painter isn't due for another 10mins or so. He managed to sort the damaged door, goodness knows how as it was quite badly scored, certainly saved Steve having to go and buy another one. Today he's going to look at stain colours so the doors tie in with the new floor. Not sure yet, but hoping to have the house to ourselves tomorrow. Oh and the kitchen is almost all done, just a few little touches and the plinths to go on now. Oh and the flooring, but that's throughout so Steve will start preparation next week.

Hope you all have a good day :D
