:D Good morning!

There's a beautiful hazy golden sunrise here. I need to do some shopping this morning and then I'll walk Bill. Bathroom cleaning is on my list for today. Joe's in college all day, hope Harry's first day went well Kaz :)

I'll try and catch up with Tom at some point, he got the train to Boston for the day yesterday so had a long day but from the pics he put on social media it looks like a lovely city and the train journey looked beautiful. He commented on one that Connecticut is stunning.

Have a good day all - good thinking about the planning Ally! We're forecast 27 here today too!

Morning Ally, Jo and everyone

A lovely cool morning here    High 20's for us too - bliss. Better start thinking about wood for the fires  8-)

Off to Ourique later, as I have an appointment with the nurse, will try and get the tetanus done too. My appointment is for 12.07

Will do the shopping on the way back.

Not watching the Great British Menu too Ally?

Sounds a great trip for Tom, Jo :D :D

Hope B gets news today and H had a good day too, Kaz x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Good idea Ally to get your lesson plans done, then you can enjoy your weekend :D

Sounds as if Tom is having a fantastic trip Jo :D :D

Good luck with the nurse appointment Ton :) 8-)

Well, it's a lovely day here and unlike yesterday is supposed to stay that way  8-)  I have some washing to get out, and then later I'm out for a cuppa with Emma - coffee for her, tea for me 8-) Zumba tonight :)

Jo, thanks for asking about H - It was a bit overwhelming I think, as it was an induction day and there was loads to do, but having said that he really likes all the kids in his set, and the tutors he met, so I think it will be fine once he settles in. This is a huge change for him, from the very nurturing and supportive atmosphere of a special school, where he was a big fish in a small pond, but I think he's up to it. I must admit to not sleeping terribly well the last few nights though, and will be worried until he is all settled in.....

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all :D

Another scorcher here 8-)

Glad Tom's having a fantastic time Jo :D

It's always worrying when they start somewhere new Kaz and it will take H a little while to find his feet and settle in. He sounds a very determined lad so I'm sure it won't take too long xx

Steve was here early this morning, I think this hot weather just wore him out, we're south facing so it gets even hotter at the back of the house. He's busy lifting floor boards right now.

I'm off out for coffee with the ladies and then plan to meet E at the harbour. Think we'll have lunch down there to keep out of the way of all the mess here.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Alhaurin's micro climate strikes again!

You will worry about H Kaz but I'm sure he'll be really happy there once he's settled and gets to know the place.

Morning all, dull and cool here. Off out in a while, my sister has a problem with her shower riser rail so Mr Osc is going to have a look. We will do the supermarket shop on the way home. I was up a bit early, so thought I would go to the post office and take out some money while Mr Osc was getting dressed - it still hadn't opened at 9.20  that wouldn't have happened in our day  ;)

Kaz, it is that whole thing about being a big fish in a small pond - Miss Osc struggled in uni for quite a while because it was so much harder to find her level, but hopefully H will settle without too much difficulty. Jo, Boston really is a lovely city, we have been there several times as we have a friend living there, and going by train is a great way to see the countryside. Sounds like Tom is having a great time. Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :)
Beautiful day here, fingers crossed it stays that way!

Bb was out by 7, to drive to Cadnam, to meet a colleague who was driving them to Cullompton (Devon) for a meeting. They would normally have gone to the London one, but it was full. The name has tickled Bb, he's kept just muttering 'Cullompton' for days :D
I didn't get up with him, waited for the normal alarm, then as it was so nice decided to take Minnie down to the sea wall. Except as soon as we got there it went all dark and the wind got up...thankfully no rain!
We don't go round the sea wall much in the summer as cattle graze there; they're not really a problem, but you just can't get round the walk if they're in big groups. We did see some, but not too many, and none around the wall. So Minnie's a very happy - and knackered - doggie, smelling fragrantly of sea (which I love).

I thought I might have an exciting expedition, a Matalan has opened just this side of Christchurch - especially as I spotted some nice cotton duvet covers on their website ;) So just about to check my bank a/c ;) then I think I'll go.

You've said H is quite a confident lad Kaz, I'm sure he'll be fine. Just the same for all of us at some point wasn't it, I remember how huge the grammar school seemed. Hopefully each day he - and you- will be feeling better about it (((x)))

Hope you all have a good day

Thanks everyone, he is determined (I am so proud of him, can you tell?  ) and I am sure he will be ok once he settles in.

As ever, thanks heaps for the support, you are a lovely lot ((x))

I'm cooking up tons of tomatoes, basil, peppers, etc from the greenhouse with a big glug of olive oil :D I've been saving up the small bags of toms we've harvested from D's greenhouse every day until there was enough to fill my huge slow cooker :D 8-) It is starting to smell gorgeous 8-) :D I just hope there will be enough green ones left for another go at the lovely chutney I made last year!

Going out with Emma at 1.30, and then back here, maybe to iron the two lines full of washing that should be dry by then - or maybe not ;)
