The cheek of some people!

When S&A left from downstairs they put out four dining chairs, a double duvet and a bathroom stand. They were all well wrapped in plastic to keep the weather out and anybody could take them if they were wanted. They were all in good nick. If nobody took them I was to throw them in the skip we get a couple of times a year.

Today I get a knock on the door from a young couple asking if they could take the things, which is what S&S hoped for. So there they are: gone!

A while later I get another knock.
"Do you still have the table?"
"What table?"
"The one to go with the chairs"
"No, the chairs belonged to the previous tenants and they took the table."
"Ah, thanks."

I have just come in and the chairs are back, though they kept the duvet and the bathroom stand! :o

I wish! The deal was that anyone could take whatever they wanted; one, all or some.

I am going to ring round the charity shops and see if they want them or know of anybody who might need/use them. They really are too good for the skip - black faux leather on good hardwood frames and quite modern.

The problem with charity shops they don't have the room and everything has to have a label from the manufacturer attached
Maybe a for sale sight via Facebook would help and advertising for free

I'm with Kaz on the Freecycle thing.... not much that doesn't find a home via there. Or alternatively register with a site called Streetlife - it's really a fantastic site for a lot of local things
