"Caboom!"

Went the plug on the microwave as I was about to heat up some cottage pie. I replaced the fuse and "Caboom!" it went again..... right, I thought, this needs some serious investigation.

I checked the plug for loose wires, no problem, then off comes the main housing cover and there lies a sugarspoon very neatly welded across some terminals. I have no idea how it got there but it is now removed and the thing does not go "Caboom!" any more, trouble is I cannot find the manual so have no idea how to set the clock!

I will just have to do the "cook till piping hot in the middle" thing for a while.

The manual might be online, Frank.

Well now, you didn't miss the sugar spoon??? Shame on you...

Of course you could just use the old tried and tested, press buttons till it responds. Bit of a bugger though if it needs a 5 second press to "notify" that it wants something done.

Go play, have fun...

Suff,
I can remember many years ago when we had a Hoover washing machine. It would not work.
Tried a new fuse in the plug, a different appliance in the socket-13 amp on a ring main.
Even tried a direct connection to the motor which worked.
Finally found the main switch which was recessed had four positions, Off Heater Wash and Rinse. It was in the Off position. We had not checked as we always switched it off at the outlet socket.
Over an hour wasted on something so simple.
