Never the travellers friend.

Arrived at Poitiers for the flight, checked in sitting in the lounge when they announced that the flight had gone to Limoges. I'm just off the bus after a 2 hour drive. I was first through security and am now just sitting waiting to board.

With a stop for food, it will be close to midnight before I get to the apartment. At least they are flying, I'm leading interviews tomorrow afternoon.

I"ve had one coffee, cerial a bottle of water and a marathon all day. I guess Ryanair are getting some food out of me instead of just à coffee.

It is the weather event the MkI Eyball cannot cope with...

Even in planes bristling with tech the pilots have to be able to see to taxi.

Wonderful isn't it WM. Planes can take off, fly thousands of miles and land, all by themselves. Then when they have landed the pilots need to peer at a landrover with flashing orange lights and follow it to the stand.... I spent nearly 2 hours listening to this carry on one afternoon in Manchester when the pilots left the doors open and the radio up.

Well we made it Kaz. I'm a little less starved and a little less tired as I slept for a bit on the bus. The lady with her son who was next to me on the way out was next to me on her way back. Very interesting woman and it passed the time with conversation. She wasn't willing to pay for the seat booking so her husband was up front.

Now I'm on the train, starting the trek back to Wembley. I don't think I'll need to stop for food. Want might be another issue though. Either way it's going to be a minimum of 11:20 before I get back to the apartment.

At least I have the keys..

Glad you made it OK Suff. My boss and his fiance and their combined offspring are flying to Switzerland today and I was (and still am really) dreading the call to say flights delayed / cancelled....

And nevermind the fog to worry about - it's these darn expected strikes as well.

I'm now flying out of East Midlands on Thursday evening for Christmas...

We shall see what happens..

BA strikes are now due to take place Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so hopefully your Thursday travel is OK

I'm also flying by the "lack of service" airline. One good point about them is they almost never cancel a flight.
